When the halos slip . . .
that's when the story begins!

Welcome! I'm so glad you dropped by my site and have given me the opportunity to introduce myself and tell you about the novels that I write. My books are not easily pigeonholed into any specific genre.

My first novel, St. Anne's Day, can best be described as a romantic dramedy. While hysterically funny, it is heartwarming and inspirational as well. Readers have described it as warm, witty and wise.

If you enjoy books that touch the heart and the soul, then you've come to the right place. Spirited, sparkling and sassy, my novels tell the tales of people who aren't saints, but who are trying to be.

I believe that many of today's contemporary novels only delve into a character's mind and heart, neglecting the most important aspect of every human being--the soul. These books are like one-night stands--fun while they last, but not there for the long haul. They fail to resonate.

Unfortunately, many writers today ignore the most intriguing aspect of their characters--their conscience. It is from conscience that the best conflicts arise, and great conflict makes for great novels. Would Dostoyevksy's Crime and Punishment have become a classic without its moral conflict? Would Jane Eyre have become such a beloved tale had Jane tossed morality aside and lived with Mr. Rochester while he was still married?

My characters are real people with real demons and real desires facing real struggles as they battle to find redemption and love. I like to write about good people who have bad things happen to them and about bad people who have good things happen to them to see how they respond.

While my novels have a spiritual bent, influenced by my Catholic faith, they are not sanctimonious or sappy. I like to think I put the "rational" in inspirational.

So if you love a good story in which you can immerse yourself--one that makes you laugh, cry, and think--then relax, settle in, and let me tell you a story . . .
